The cartesian palletizer is a type of automatic palletizer in which the movement of the picking and placing gripper palletizes products by moving in the three directions of space and rotating around the vertical axis.
Because of its construction type, the cartesian palletizer does not allow very high performance and, most importantly, severely limits flexibility and versatility in the face of changes in palletizing needs or layouts that can occur within a production facility. Nevertheless, the Cartesian Palletizer is still used, especially in not particularly "complex" palletizing systems, by virtue of its low cost of implementation and maintenance.
